Apple to Create Their Own Search Engine?

So now that Apple has mastered the computer, phone, and tablet- what’s next?

Well it looks like a search engine may be the next thing in line for the technology giant.

Apple posted an ad entitled "Engineering Project Manager - Apple Search" on its website's job board. The opening called for "a technical, driven, and creative program manager to manage backend operations projects for a search platform supporting hundreds of millions of users." According to the ad, the project in question will "play a part in revolutionizing how people use their computers and mobile devices."

Is it possible that Apple is getting ready to launch it’s own search engine? Some think so. Others think that Apple is simple expanding on its Spotlight feature.

The timing is important because this year marks the end of Google’s five-year tenure as the default search engine on Apple’s Safari browser, which makes up a total of 10.28 percent of the U.S. browser share.

It would be interesting… Who would win the battle of search engines? Apple or Google? Let us know what you think?
